Yoga is for everyone - every body type, every person. Yoga brings radiant health to the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is the experience of a higher consciousness, which allows us to rise above our own suffering to lead a happy, fulfilled, and free life.
Grace Yoga is a teaching studio. In addition to our regular weekly schedule of classes for all levels, we run teacher training programs as the need arises within the community, which means the studio is alive with the enthusiasm and joy of people engaged in rigorous studies and Self-investigation. Community classes give new teachers the opportunity to refine their skills.
A yogi seeks to disturb no one. Practice the Yamas and Niyamas – restraints and disciplines – in daily life, especially the Yama of Ahimsa, doing no harm. There can be no yoga without adherence to the ethical rules outlined in the Yamas and Niyamas. It’s simple: Be a good person. Harm no living creature. Eradicate negative thoughts. Practice self-restraint in all areas of your life. Perform kindness. Mind your own business. Speak truthfully. Eat well. Live a healthy, true life.
There is no light like that of knowledge of the Self. There is no treasure like that of contentment. There is no virtue like that of Satya (truthfulness). There is no bliss like that of the Soul. There is no friend like Atman. Therefore know your own Self. Develop contentment. Speak the Truth. Drink the bliss of the Soul.
Befriend Atman……- Swami Sivananda
